Wow... update from me

Well... here I am sitting at work and I've been browing dA for inspiration. I've picked up sketching/drawing(aka pulling) again and i'm taking the time to develop my "grass roots".

Sketches for Action poses, right to left brain development (drawing pictures from upside down reference, negative drawing etc)... I've dusted off my wacom tablet and I'm anxious to get my skills back or more accurately HERE for the first time.

I've been away from dA but i've always "been here". So Hi to old friends, and hi to new ones.

First I'd like to say that I'm not here to make any friends... I'm here to make sure you dont make any enemies that show up on your doorstep with a baseball bat clutching an autographed picture of John Tesh while crying saying "Why'd you bash my art and spam my page". Yes... there are those people out there... so be CAREFUL.

Mark Penix, aka `statichavoc, aka the former ~se55, has been living in Omaha, Nebraska since 2000. He "landed" here after 4 years of honorable service with the United States Air Force.

Mark has always been interested in all facets of artistic expression and looked for a community to get feedback on what I created as well as see what everyone else was doing. He came across deviant art in February of 2002 and was thoroughly surprised by what he saw, however not joining until April of that same year as se55. After a few months, Mark, befriended °euphoria and learned of an opening in the Premium Content System Team (then devMAG) under °dygel. Mark jumped at the chance to be a part of a promising team of people that were prepared to make the community a little brighter with articles, art news, art interviews, tutorials, and various other art related endeavors. Shortly before the August 2004, his capacity here at deviantART greatly diminished, as PCS came to a screeching halt. Mark was later picked up in late October to be part of the Policy Violation Team.

Mark currently works for The Boeing Company, 21st in this years Fortune 500, as a contractor for the U.S. Air Force. He is a Systems Programmer/Analyst of Integrated Defense Systems for Homeland Security & Services. Regular duties for Mark include but are not limited to, maintaining system software and trouble shooting on legacy systems (VOS, VMS, and more) as well as new systems being placed in circulation running more modern platforms (Solaris, Unix, and more).
